Its been a busy few months, lots to do, always meaning to catch up on blog but then out with the camera, and lots of fund raising. Completed weddings which are always a joy, primarily because all the people I seem to do weddings for are just so nice, great families, who are out for a great time to celebrate lovely couples joining their lives together. Without doubt many weddings have changed, but I still like the nice, family type gatherings, and lots of fun and laughter. Liz and I set up a "live" photo booth at the last wedding. Had not done it before but we were so pleased with the results. 100% of our fees for anything we do goes to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, but we do lots of other free community photography. Last week we spent the entire week following the group connected to the Bath/Alkmaar twinning Association. What absolute fun that was, we got some really lovely shots to record such a special occasion. This weekend Liz is in London and I am in a little village in the cotswolds photographing the open gardens weekend. Hopefully the weather will be kind, but whatever the weather we will enjoy it.
Thank you for dropping by and reading my blog, have a happy safe day, and always remember to stop and enjoy the good stuff around you. Happy days Patricia

No blog since November. I have taken almost a two month break, lots going on, and now busy preparing for the Open Wedding Fair at the Manor House Hotel Castle Combe. I am so delighted to have the opportunity to show some of my work in such a special place. It is such a wonderful venue, and a wonderful place to hold any special occasion, whether it be a wedding, Engagement Celebration, Birthday etc.
Liz Bugg is working with me at the Wedding Fair, then in between Liz's overseas travel we have a commission for a calendar for 2018, so quite a bit of preparation to do for that. Some will be studio work, and some around the city, so a busy few months teamed up with a number of weddings which we have booked. I love weddings, they are such special times, and the truly satisfying part of it all is being part of such a special occasion, and capturing memories which will last for a lifetime.
Thank you for dropping in and reading my blog, stay safe and have a happy day Patricia

I seem to be getting back on track with my blog, despite November having been a really busy month. November has held many happy times, meeting lots of new people, and being given the opportunity to take part in some interesting projects. During the year I visited the Houses of Parliament, to carry out some photography for Ben Howlett, who must rank as one of the most caring and hard working members. He is the MP for Bath, and is so involved within the entire community, his care and commitment shows not just in the parliamentary duties he carries out, but also in his care for the community for both young and old. I again met up with Ben while he was planting bulbs at the carers headquarters in Bath as part of the Alkmaar twinning Association. I carried out the photography for the Alkmaar website. A few days later I had the opportunity to be part of the photography team when Mary Berry visited Bath and planted bulbs in the Parade Gardens in Bath. Mary is without doubt one of the most gracious people I have ever had the good fortune to meet. Her natural way with the children was wonderful, it was a day completely filled with joy for everyone, and a wonderful experience. Another fun experience was capturing the preparation of work that goes into getting the Bath Firework display ready at the Bath Rugby Recreation ground. Students from Bath University as well as Bath Rotary Club were involved. The day was busy, fairly long but very worthwhile, what a lovely bunch of people to work alongside. The Rotary Club are looking to up membership and would love to encourage younger people to join what is an amazing club to belong to, the work that they do on behalf of so many worthy causes is just amazing. I have once again produced the Christmas Cards for the Manor House Hotel in Castle Combe as well as notelets and additional christmas cards for further afield. A delightful engagement shoot was a very special part of this month. So, that is November, Christmas looms, have the best of times, stay safe and thank you for reading my little blog. Patricia
