Soon the end of March, and it has been a really great time for getting out and about with my camera and friends. Always so much to go out and spend time photographing. Time has passed by so quickly with one project leading to another, but all worth while. Just finished and handed over the book I have been working on showing the changes and the continuity of the village where I live. Grateful to Adrian Bishop MBE for the help and support I received from him, also to the Manor House Hotel Castle Combe for allowing me to photograph some of the historic parts of the Hotel. Very happy also to have been asked to do some photography for a book of Musings written by Ginny Edwards. So appreciative too that I received a copy of the book. Beautiful writings from a very talented individual.
Next project starts again soon, and this time it is a historical look at the village where I live along with contributions from other photographers as well as our local historian. I am especially looking forward to working in collaboration with Ilene Stern. Ilene was the artist in residence at the Lost Gardens of Heligan she is an award winning artist/photographer who is based in Bath. During 2014 Ilene spent time at the Lost Gardens taking photos of the gardeners at work. She used a Holga camera and black and white film. She wanted to create a tribute to the gardeners of today and to somehow show the connection to the gardens of 1914, which she did amazingly well.
Fund raising is going well and I have a number of bookings already this year, so watch this space to see what we can raise. Monies will be given to the Palliative care at the Royal United Hospital Bath. Off to the NEC on Monday, went last year and the year before, enjoyed it so much so off I go again. Thank you for reading, enjoy the sunshine, stay safe ...Patricia

As is usual with life, time dissolves and there is always an intent to sit and write a blog, then all of the other exciting things take over and you just don't get around to doing it. Life has been busy, lots of lovely things to spend time doing. Had a lovely couple of months spending time at the Bath Academy of Media Make up. What a load of talent these guys have, just incredible, and the opportunity to just spend hours there watching the process and preparing these individuals for the film world, awesome. Had lots to do with other little jobs, helping with the local school rebranding, and then some work for a lovely rug shop in Bristol, so that should be fun. Christmas cards went well, really enjoyed producing those, and had some good orders, so plan to do something of a similar nature hopefully next year...should say this year now as we are already in 2016. Spending less time in the studio these days and more time out and about, but did have the chance to do some portrait work today which I really enjoyed. Just got an order to produce some post cards for a wedding which is taking place in May, I love doing things like that, I can either pull from my archive or go photograph the area again, which I might well do. The items Liz and I produced for a local market fair seem to have gone down well. The November wedding went really well, and it was fun to be part of it. We enjoyed roaming the Bath Rugby Field so that we could include that in the album. January now beckons, hope 2016 is good to you, thank you for reading Patricia

Wow! October is almost out, cannot believe how fast this month has gone again, have been amazingly busy with lots of local calls for photography, which is simply so rewarding. Rugby has taken up a large part of the month, well worth the watch despite England losing their way early on. Managed to get a few tickets for Twickenham and Cardiff so its been a great month. Two more garden shoots booked which I really love doing, and again another booking for a little baby shoot in a couple of weeks.
My book recording the day to day construction of the Solar Farm, built on the Castle Combe Circuit was sent off for print and returned and I am so pleased with the results. Had the most lovely call from the owner of the Castle Combe circuit thanking me for delivering a copy to her, and completely over the moon that they plan to put it into the circuit archive once family and friends have had a chance to look through it. I feel this is such an honour and I am simply delighted. A copy has also been dispatched to the construction company.
Meeting up with a lovely couple in a weeks time to discuss their wedding, and have a wedding booked in November in Bath, so some lovely events to look forward to.
In the middle of producing Christmas cards and postcards for local events at the moment so lots to keep me busy, and loving every minute.
Thank you for reading, stay safe and happy days

September now almost to an end and its been a happy and fulfilled month. Spent time with John Humphrey at the Open University in Milton Keynes. What an amazing tutor he is, just three of us in the group and we were totally spoiled with all of the skill sets he passed on to us. John's camera art is unique, and its just a fun and relaxing way to spend a day or so, capturing images and then letting your creativity run free.
Two more garden shoots which I am enjoying, but happy too meeting up with friends and just going out with the camera and travelling around. Off to Andover on Monday to the Bird of Prey Centre, always a really good venue. Have had an amazing time at the Rugby matches, we have been lucky enough to get some tickets, and its great to have the freedom to take the camera in too. England match tonight so really looking forward to that one, but Scotland Japan was a really inspirational game.
Just finished my Solar Farm book so thats off to print and hopefully the constructors of the Solar Farm will be pleased with the results. Had some lovely feedback from my last studio shoot, images have been used for a special anniversary, very pleasing. Booked for a baby shoot in a couple of weeks thats always a special time, helping make memories, and capturing them, thats what my photography for me is about.
Thank you for reading, take care and have happy days
